My main area of interest is
Summits On The Air – SOTA. I will
eventually add some photographs and a summit activation diary. In the meantime if you want to learn more
about the programme have a look at the main SOTA website. SOTA

fun discussion group at www.sotaforum.co.uk
SOTA
If you are a SOTA participant, fell free to
download and use my Summits
Spreadsheet. As well as enabling you to log the dates of each activation,
this has links to maps showing all the summits, Maidenhead locators for each
summit and a distance calculator. Let me know if you like it or would like to
see any changes

Sunday April 22nd 2007 will see an attempt to repeat the success of last years Southern Pennines Fun Day. The objective of the day is to try and activate all 17 summits simultaneously.
If enough activators can be found, there will also be an attempt to
achieve Summit to Summit contacts between all hills. This was almost achieved in 2006 (I think we
missed 2 QSO’s) and it would be great to go that bit further this time.
A Spreadsheet showing the current activator list is available here. SP Fun Day 2007
I also enjoy contesting on both VHF and HF. Details of RSGB contests can be found here VHF CONTESTS HF CONTESTS
